Current Volunteer Work (QMU):
I currently volunteer (2025 to present) with Queer Men United (Quermenunited.org, QueerAR.org), a 501(c)(3) serving queer men in Arkansas. The work I’m doing here ranges and requires self-directed study of nonprofit operations (through reputable coursework and sources). I apply what I learn to my existing background in human resources, interpersonal and organizational communication, and writing to solve current organizational challenges.
Gig Work (Remote):
Working as an independent contractor (2025 - present), I evaluate and rank large-language-model (LLMs) outputs for accuracy, coherence, and instruction-adherence as well as provide structured written feedback. This is a great way to hone my previous skills while gaining a greater understanding of AI.
1 Stop Landscape Supply & Yard Waste Recycling Facility (Sarasota, FL):
From 2015 to 2022, as the Internal and External Communication Manager, I had a wide range of responsibilities that included HR management, marketing, training, content creation, and escalated customer support for a multi-site operation with multiple distinct interdepartmental dependencies. I created a department-specific operations manual, standardized training materials, SOPs, and built a blog that mixed SEO, education, community voice, and recruiting. I coordinated community events with Sarasota County, Manatee County, and local businesses, and developed long-lasting professional relationships with community leaders in adjacent causes.
Freelance Writer and Blogger (Sarasota, FL):
As a side business, from 2013 to 2019, I researched and ghostwrote blog and website content for local businesses across multiple industries. I took real pride in capturing the voice of my clientele while making niche topics readable, credible, and consistent. I often supported my written work by providing reusable brand pieces like logos and simple branded graphics.
New Health Corp (Sarasota, FL):
From 2012 to 2015, I grew from a telemarketer position to the office manager position where I kept daily operations moving while supporting customers and sales across phone, email, and live chat, and coordinating fulfillment between sales and the on-site warehouse. I also supported product launches and their related marketing campaigns, and handled chargebacks and review responses so issues were resolved cleanly.
